Raptor Experience
- (May - August)
We will start off first with an introduction to get to know your host, the Laurel Fork Falconer and his raptor. Safety-first tips will come next. Then, we will begin our adventure!! Along the way you will learn about the ancient sport of falconry, how it works, how to get started and train and what goes into caring for and working with Raptors. You will also learn the natural history of birds of prey, their ecology and how these amazing birds contribute to their habitat. There will be ample opportunities to capture unique photographs a photo opportunity with the falconer and bird.
**This Experience is held during late Spring through Summer while the birds are going through the molt (shedding and regrowing new feathers) and are on a break from flying.
*Because this is an outdoor experience, be sure to dress appropriately. Inclement weather may cause cancellations

This area is so unique and so was this experience. Collin and Tiffany were so kind and welcoming! Collin answered any and all questions about being a falconer and we took a walk as the hawk glided in and out through the trees around us. It was unique and a lovely experience.
